The leaderboard is for bragging rights. Everyone past 25 hours has exactly one entry, so playing more does not improve your odds.
Nobody at Husk picks the winners
When entries close on October 1, 2026, everyone who qualified gets a numbered spot on a public list. You will be able to find your own number right here.
Then we need something random to pick from that list. If we rolled dice in private, you would just have to take our word for it. So instead we use a number the whole world watches get created.
Every ten minutes the Bitcoin network publishes a new block, and each one carries a long string of digits nobody can predict or influence. We are announcing now exactly which one we will use: The first Bitcoin block mined after 8:00 PM ET on the Badlands DLC launch day. When it appears, its digits tell us how far to count down the list. Where the count stops, that is a winner. 3 times, 3 winners.
The list is locked before the number exists. The number is born after the list is locked. Neither one can be bent to fit the other.
You do not need to follow any of this to enter. It is here so that if someone ever asks whether this was rigged, the answer is “check it yourself” instead of “trust me.”

Block IDs always begin with a long run of zeros, a byproduct of mining, so the front of the ID carries no randomness at all. We use the last 48 characters and split them into three chunks of 16: A, B, C. Each chunk converts from hex to an ordinary number.
With N entrants numbered 1 to N, winner one is (A mod N) + 1. That name is removed and the rest renumbered, then winner two is (B mod N−1) + 1, and winner three is (C mod N−2) + 1. Drawing without replacement means nobody can be picked twice.

- You need 25 hours of in-game time on Husk RP logged between July 26, 2026 and October 1, 2026. Time played before the contest opened does not count.
- You must be in the Husk RP Discord with your gamertag linked through the bot. That link is how your hours are matched to you.
- You must be in good standing. An active ban at the time entries close makes you ineligible.
- Husk RP staff are not eligible to win.
- One entry per qualifying player. Extra hours are bragging rights, not extra tickets.
- 3 winners are drawn on the Badlands DLC launch day and contacted through Discord.
